We know you are busy working, raising a family or finishing school, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep playing hockey! Introducing the Powhatan Hockey Women’s Club where you pay as you play.
You don't have to be a member to play!
Games
We host 3v3 games twice a month on Sundays.
Now offering 2 skill divisions! Chose to play on the Upper team or the Beginner + Teen team.
The Club
Each member receives a reversible jerseys, option to purchase game-cards, pop-up skills clinics, and early access to Ice Den hosted tournaments or leagues.

ALL HER. ALL AGES. Skill Clinics
In partnership with the Washington Capitals ALL HER initiative and the Powhatan Ice Den Women's Hockey Club - we proudly offer our All Her All Ages Clinic. Our unique learn-to-play clinic is specifically for ALL women and girls of ALL ages. This clinic is led by a team of ALL women coaches.
This 6-8 week program is offered twice a season at NO CHARGE thanks for our generous sponsors! The fall session is sponsored by EDC.
2nd Annual Powhatan Ice Den 3v3 Women's Hockey Tournament
This is a COMBINED SKILL, DRAFT-STYLE tournament so it's individual sign ups and open to women of ALL SKILLS LEVELS.
Sunday, March 2nd - 12:00pm-7:00pm
Players register individually and select their skill division. On the day of the tournament each player will pick "from a hat" a team to join. Each team will have an even distribution of skill level.
We will follow a score limit for each player per game.
Draft style play allows everyone to meet new women hockey players in the region, connect over their mutual love for the sport, and share experiences that help grow the sport.
We will follow a USA Hockey skill descriptions. Please select your best guess level of play.
All players will be guaranteed 3 games. We can accommodate a max of 4 teams. Each team will play each other once or twice. Winning teams gain 2 game points. The two teams with the most game points will advance to the championship.
A championship trophy will be presented on-ice immediately following the championship game.
The trophy is kept at Powhatan Ice Den with the champion’s picture.
ALL Games will be played at Powhatan Ice Den outside of Richmond, VA.

Currently, memberships and "Game Cards" must be purchased in-person at the rink.
